Meet Madyson
Hi, my name is Madyson Gold, and I live in Miramar, Florida. I am a junior at The Sagemont School in Weston, FL and play on their Girls Varsity Golf Team. I am also the Vice-Captain on the team.
My parents introduced me to golf when I was just 3 or 4, but I actually did not start playing it until I was seven years old. I did not start Tournament Golf Play with US Kids until I was 9, but from then on, I was hooked. I currently shoot in the mid to high 70’s from 5700 to 6000 yards, and I only plan to improve from here.
This year, I shot even par on 18 holes for the first time and had my best two day score of 2-over par. Additionally, I have had several top 5’s and top 10’s finishes. My goal is to be part of and play on a Women's Golf Team in College. I am dedicated and will always work hard to become better. Tiger Woods once said, “ You can always become better,” and I truly believe that.
On this website, you will find quick and easy access to anything and everything about my career as a junior golfer and a student.
Outside of golf, I am very involved in my school's theater program, as well as in my local synagogue and Jewish organizations.
My Sophomore year I decided to take theater in my school, and I immediately fell in love with it. I love what can be accomplished with only a few people and how it can be improved when everyone comes together as a team. Working in the Theater Program has taught me Teamwork, an essential skill, which I now embrace, not having been part of a team sport growing up.
I have made several good friends in Theatre and learned new skills that I would not have gotten otherwise. It has definitely made me open to trying new experiences.
In the 2018- 2019 school year I will be the secretary of the Thespian Honor Society, and I will be inducted into the National Honor Society, and the Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society.
I have been a part for my local Synagogue since before Elementary School. I attended Elementry School there and participated in many of the "Mitzvah Projects" done by the temple. I have worked every year to further my Jewish education and feel a very strong Jewish identity.
I’m looking for a college with a Psychology and Stage Management Program. I would like to attend a school that promotes a strong school spirit. I want to be a part of a culture, where the entire school comes together to root for their home teams. I would like that kind of community to be part of my college experience
